Been reading loads online during lockdown and came upon your site when researching the Tennysons. Very interesting biographies of the sisters! Do you know much about the cousins the Tennyson d'Eyncourts of Beyond Manor Tealby? I go walking there past the sadly now demolished house and view their tombs in the village church. Lockdown permitting. Fascinating family. Your site is going to give me endless hours of reading. Thanks.
KM Richardson.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17720905641403907778noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8617545316864155046.post-56070915896207002542015-05-18T07:27:05.186-04:002015-05-18T07:27:05.186-04:00Thank you Kevin fir stopping by and commenting. I was shocked to learn about Matilda's obsessive crush on Teresa as well. I love when I learn new things when reading anything, so the fact that you did just fills my heart. I am so happy that you are sharing my articles with your students and thank you so much for doing so. I appreciate you stopping by reading and posting a comment. But two significant elements to her life were totally unknown to me. 1] that she was a strong Calvinist who worried constantly over the fate of her eternally damned siblings. That was so unEnglish.

2] I knew she was passionate about music but her passionate affection (unrequited love?) toward an opera singer she adored was a little bit weird. And tragic for the rest of Tilly's very long life.

Thank you. My students will love this sort of information :)Helshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02849907428208235392noreply@blogger.com
